How to Find Us.

Cougal Park is 6.4km south of the Qld/NSW border crossing at Richmond gap, and 36km north of Kyogle with sealed roads all the way.

The Lions Tourist Road was built between 1971 & 1975 by the Lions Clubs of Beaudesert and Kyogle, to create a more direct route to Brisbane. The road is still funded by donations from the donation box located at the border.

We now haveTelstra Next G Mobile phone coverage in the area, which makes us not so isolated when the Land line is not working. There is no other mobile service in the area.

Some Navigation aids recognize Lions Road some do not. Some think it is an extension of Running Creek Road in Queensland, which ends at the Border. We are currently trying to have this corrected.

Note: Due to the replacement of six bridges on Grady’s Creek Road and the Lions Road, there will be changes to traffic conditions regularly over the next six months. We will try and post changes in plenty of time, however, it would be best to check before you leave home as to the current closures.
