Cougal Park is 6.4km south of the Qld/NSW border crossing at Richmond gap, and 36km north of Kyogle with sealed roads all the way.
The Lions Tourist Road was built between 1971 & 1975 by the Lions Clubs of Beaudesert and Kyogle, to create a more direct route to Brisbane. The road is still funded by the Lions Club and donation boxes are located at the border.
We now have Next G Mobile phone coverage in the area, which makes us not so isolated when the Landline is not working.
